Dr. Hongxing Wang is a master practitioner of over 30 years experience in acupuncture, Chinese herbal and integrative medicine. He was born in a medical family. He himself received acupuncture treatments all years in his childhood. He graduated from Beijing University of Chinese Medicine in 1984. With top scores in his class, he was nominated to work in Beijing largest TCM college hospital , making significant progress in his clinical, teaching and research abilities. He was recognized by the faculty as one of very few college lecturers of great achievement during his tutoring for bachelor/master/doctoral degree students and international students from over 40 countries. He won many awards and high praise on college, city and national levels. His promotion to the title of chief physician (Professor) was among the earliest of his peers, and he was honored as a national prestige doctor in the Classic Directory of World Excellent Medical Experts (1996).
Dr. Wang extended his TCM work settled by his hospital in Atlanta, Georgia in 1996; and subsequently he moved to New York in 1997. He passed all state-required exams and received national certification and Acupuncture licensing by the State of New York, effective 1999. He has continued his clinical and teaching work on following positions: Chinese Herbs and Acupuncture Center in Birmingham, Alabama; New York College of Health Professions; Brooklyn Hospital; Asian American Business Groups; American TCM Association & Alumni; Board of American TCM Society. Contributing author of five Acupuncture/TCM books and more than 30 research theses; American Association of Integrative Medicine; American TCMAAA. Currently, he is the Director of New York Optimal Holistic Acupuncture Clinic since 2008 (Initialized in 2003).
